The Oasis
WEEK 15: 11/28- 12/2
This Week's Motivational Message
A Word From Your Principal
Good afternoon Eagle Nation!!! I hope you had a great Fall break. I pray you took some time to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life and get some much needed rest.
I hope you are rejuvenated and recharged for this last run as we close out this Fall semester. The next 4 weeks will be filled with STAAR testing, review, ACP preparation and Fall ACP exams.
Our students must WIN! They must be ready for the Fall assessments. When we walk classes, we expect to see engaging review sessions in full effect. Student should be practicing the skills needed for the upcoming assessments. Teachers should be monitoring progress and addressing misconceptions. We must take advantage of targeted tutoring after school to ensure that our students who need a little extra help, have the resources they need to be successful.
Everything we do for the next 4 weeks has to be about student academic success! Anything else is counterproductive to reaching our goals. I believe in you. I know we have the right people on the team to get the job done.
Let’s pull together, roll up our sleeves and “Git-R-Done!“ Let’s make Week 6 of this 2nd 9 weeks the best week ever!

Weekly Reflections From The Administration
- Student Safety is Priority!
- Protect your instructional time.
- If you need help with a student, call for assistance and document.
- Do not allow additional students in your classroom.
- Conduct uniform checks as students enter your room.
- Anyone entering external doors after 9:10 am must enter through the main entrance.
- Please issue a hall pass to students. Do not let students leave your class without a pass.

Weekly Priority Announcements
- Safety is priority. If you see something or hear something, say something!
- Supervision is the key to being proactive vs. reactive in our hallways. We must be on alert at all times. Teachers we need you at your doors moving students!
- Students should have 12 grades in the gradebook by close of business Friday. Please ensure your gradebook is updated weekly. Don’t wait until the last minute.
- Ensure that you’re communicating with parents on how their student is doing in your class.
- Ensure that you’re taking attendance daily. It is hard to explain how a student is passing when their attendance says they haven’t been in your class.
