Thank you for supporting the Book Fair!
Thank you for your support for the Fall Scholastic Book Fair. Students had a blast looking around at the books and the expression on 1st graders faces as they see the fair for the first time is priceless :) The Spring Book Fair will take place the week before Spring Break in April.
Hour of Code!
All students participated in the Hour of Code Dec. 5-9th in the library and had a blast! Hour of Code is a National event put on by the group Code.org. This website always has coding games up and available, no sign up necessary. The website also has a ton of resources, lesson plans, etc for teachers who want to add computer science skills to their curriculum.

What's Happening in the Library???
1st Grade
Students have been reading and voting for the Washington Children's Choice Picture book award in a Bracket format and working on Coding.
2nd Grade
Students have been reading and voting for the Washington Children's Choice Picture book award in a Bracket format and working on Coding.
3rd Grade
Students have been working on research, Google Slides, coding and were introduced to the Otter Award.
4th Grade
Students were introduced to the Sasquatch nominees, worked on Google Slides and Coding.
5th Grade
Students were introduced to the Sasquatch nominees, worked on Google Slides and Coding.
6th Grade
Students were introduced to the Sasquatch nominees, worked on Google Slides and on their Invention Project.
Technology Tips!
Two of the Tech tips for this month focus on online Math resources since we have been discussing Math curriculum and the last article looked like a great way to engage students in a quick and fun way!
