Police Training Notice
SAFETY TRAINING EXERCISE AT PROSPER HIGH SCHOOL
DO NOT BE ALARMED: You will see police activity at Prosper High School on July 19-21, 7 am - 1 pm
The safety and security of our town and school district is paramount to the continued success of our community. The Town of Prosper and the Prosper Independent School District have always worked cooperatively together to ensure the best possible response to incidents that may occur within our common boundaries.
To that end, we have been planning a mass casualty training exercise for the Prosper Police Department, the Prosper Fire Department and the Prosper ISD Police Department since September 2021. The tragic events in Uvalde further emphasized the need for collaboration and cooperation in incident response protocols.
On Tuesday, July 19 through Thursday, July 21, there will be much activity at Prosper High School. You will see first responders, multiple ambulances, and fire trucks at the school. THIS IS A TRAINING EXERCISE. Please do not be alarmed. While it may look very real, only training equipment is being used.
The safety and health of your children and our staff is of critical importance to all of us. Please look for additional information about all the safety and security measures the district has in place as we approach the start of school.
THIS IS A TRAINING EXERCISE.
