Stop The Bleed Training
HB 496 requires districts to annually offer instruction on the use of a bleeding control station to students enrolled in grades seven or higher. LVISD will offer this free training to students and their parents on Wednesday, February 12 from 6:30 - 7:30.

Boys Beat Florence In 4 Games
The 8th grade A team defeated the Florence Buffalos 46-7. The Vikings had a defense did not allow the Buffalos to score the first 3 quarters of the game. Zach Zaleski led the team in defensive tips and steals. Guard Mason Harris led the team in rebounds with 7. Offensively, the Vikings were on fire the entire night. The 8th grade A team will end the season with 3 tough district opponents Blanco, Gateway, and Jarrell.
The 7A Vikings had two offensive leaders Kohan Blakely and Grayson Buster. Leading the defense was Lincoln Vasquez’s and DJ Dambach. The Viking pulled away and won the game 38 to 7.
The 7th and 8th grade B Teams faced Florence at home on Thursday, January 29th. Both Vikings teams had exceptional games, holding the Buffaloes to under 10 points in both games. In both games, the ball stayed in the Vikings' court for most of the game. The final score of the 7th grade game was 38-4 and final score of the 8th grade game was 42-8. Congratulations to both teams. They face Blanco on Thursday, February 3. For the 7th grade, the defensive player of the game was Otto Boyd, and the offensive player of the game was Lane Eleuterius. For the 8th grade game, the defensive player of the game was Jax Rodriguez, and the offensive player of the game was Kayd Houston. GO VIKINGS!
