Career and Technology Academies

Coming 2020-2021 FOUR Career and Technology Academies. We are looking for community involvement in the way of Advisory boards that will meet 3-4 times per year. We are seeking CTE Students, Parents of CTE Students, people in various career fields.

Spirit Blocks

Our spirit blocks are made by our SLA department. If you would like to buy one, the cost is $5.00. The students can also create one with any picture that you would like. To order, please email Mrs. Long at Payment will be due upon delivery. We are able to put any picture of your choosing on the block. If you would like a personal picture on your block such as a family picture or anything specific, email Mrs. Long the picture.

FSA Writing & FSA Retakes April 7th

  • All 9th and 10th graders will take the FSA Writes
  • All 11th grades that need to meet the 10th grade reading requirement will take the FSA Reading Retakes.

Students learn about careers in the healthcare industry through a series of half-day tours of hospitals, clinics, and colleges.

Heath Care Summer Institute 2021

University of Florida 's College of Medicine is offering virtual experience June 21-July 16th. The purpose of the program is to provide an academic enrichment opportunity and exposure to health care professions, to rising junior and senior high school students from underrepresented ethnic minority groups, urban, and rural backgrounds, who are interested in entering health related fields such as nursing, pharmacy, occupational and physical therapy, dentistry and medicine.
