Brock Elementary Early Release on Friday, August 31st
We are excited to announce that Brock football is being featured as a Texas highlight football game to start off the Texas UIL Football season this year. As such, the 5:35 kickoff game in Brownwood will be broadcast live across Texas Sports Southwest. In an effort to ensure continued support for the outstanding accomplishments that are Brock ISD, we will release at noon on August 31st. We do recognize that scheduling around early dismissal can be difficult for families, therefore we are offering the option of running 2 sets of buses: 12:00 and normal campus dismissal time. This will ensure that those families that may be faced with scheduling conflicts have options. Those students needing to stay on campus will have an activity planned for them as well as lunch provided. If you will need your child to stay on campus that day, please click on the link below so that plans can be made accordingly for staffing as well as bus route details.
Here is the featured article in the Fort Worth Star Telegram regarding Brock being chosen by the UIL and Texas Sports Southwest for this highlight game: https://www.star-telegram.com/sports/dfwvarsity/prep-football/article215175320.html
It is going to be an amazing year in Brock ISD and what better way to kick off Texas High School football than to be featured on live T.V.? Come out and support the Eagles as they take on the Brownwood Lions at Gordon Wood Stadium in Brownwood at 5:35 p.m. on August 31st.
Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.
