4th Grade News!
Week of August 29th
Academic Games
Students who are participating in the first Academic Game of Propaganda, need to attend practices each Tuesday and Friday afternoon from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in Mrs. Sontag's homeroom. Students will be brought to the back gate at 4:45, any parents who are not there to pick their child up at that time can get them from aftercare.
Homework Has Begun!
The students are off to a great start to their academic year and are eager to take on the responsibilities of fourth grade. We have now placed the students in math, and reading, groups, so ask your child who his/her teacher is for each. Homework assignments are written in each student's assignment notebook, and in addition, will be posted each Monday-Thursday on the school website, under the parent portal.
Weekly Folder
This year, we will be sending home each student's weekly folder on Tuesdays. Please look over your child's work, and return the signed and dated folder the following day. Miss Kenny's homeroom will start bringing home their folders this week. Some students may only have one item in their folder this week, however as the weeks go on you will notice more papers in the folder covering many subjects. Mrs. Sontag's class will bring their folders home next week.
IMPORTANT!
We have several students at St. George's with nut allergies. For this reason, loose nuts are prohibited on campus. However, your child may bring nut based spreads, such as peanut butter and Nutella for LUNCH ONLY. We have two tables in the Forum that provide a safe place for children to sit at when they have these items. We have a few students in fourth grade with nut allergies and ask that, if you provide a birthday snack for the entire fourth grade, it be nut free. Please make sure to read ALL labels to ensure our students' safety.
