A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL COYLE
Greetings, Wright Families!
June is here! It’s hard to believe that we are less than a month away from the last day of school. Thank you for your continued support and collaborative partnership throughout this school year. I am thrilled that we were able to make this year a full year of in-person learning, and it has been a gift to be united with all of our Falcons. That experience could not occur without the endless energy, skills, and devotion of the Wright staff. Thanks and well done to an incredible group of educators!
To our families, we have also noticed the dedication you gave all year long, and we deeply appreciate your kindness in listening, responding, and adjusting with all the new procedures. We are slowly building new traditions and looking forward to bringing back historical favorites. And to our students - Thank you for all your hard work throughout the school year. I am so honored to be your principal; you make me proud to be a Wright Falcon!
As we do head into the summer months, please stay safe and know that we can’t wait to see those of you who are returning to us in the fall. If your family is moving out of our area, please make sure to update your information with our office so we can forward any necessary mailings your way.
Take care, and have a wonderful summer break!

NEED RESOURCES?
YEAR AROUND FOOD RESOURCE
The Table of Plenty is open Thursdays from 4:30pm-7:00pm in the modular north of Queen of Peace church.
The goal of this ministry is simply to feed the hungry. Anyone from the community is welcome to shop our shelves Thursdays from 4:30pm-7:00pm, once a month and receive a 3-5 day emergency supply of food. On average 55 different families shop with us each Thursday evening of the month. We have over 120 volunteers including Queen of Peace School children and members of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Individuals and families can help in many different ways with this ministry, for more information or to get involved, please contact the parish office.
The Table of Plenty is staffed during operation hours, in addition to picking up and delivering food from Marion-Polk Food Share and other sites. Food donations are also collected not only from Queen of Peace parishioners, but also from our neighboring churches and other organizations. It has truly been a community effort to provide needed food for our neighbors.
You can bring food donations to any Mass on the weekend. Watch the bulletin for urgent needs. Your donations help support our very own neighbors!
Oregon has the highest number of people in the US who are food insecure – not knowing where their next meal is coming from. According to Marion-Polk Food Share statistics, Last year over 24,000 Salem/Keizer residents sought help with food – over 45 percent were children. 40 percent of the need is right here in South Salem.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HEAD LICE
Please review the following information regarding head lice and how you can help reduce an outbreak in our school. Please contact our office if you have found head lice on your student. Thank you for your help!
This month aims to recognize the contributions of all Caribbean-American people and to teach people more about their culture and history.
