Why not squares?

Have you ever wondered why the pyramids where in the shape of a triangle? Well, at this site it states, "The pyramid's shape is thought to have symbolized the sun's rays". Also, it was thought that they had sloping sides so that the dead pharaoh could climb to the sky and live forever. Also people believe that they chose the shape for it's solar religion. How the workers made the pyramids.

Now that you know who made the pyramids, you need to know how they made the pyramids. Well, on a website it states, “Scholars have found evidence that copper chisels were used for quarrying sandstone and limestone, for example, but harder stones such as granite and diorite would have required stronger materials. Dolerite, a hard, black igneous rock, was used in the quarries of Aswan to remove granite.” They also used dolerite "pounders" in the process. About 60 to 70 men would pound out the stone, and then they would stick wooden pegs in the holes that they cut, and put water in the holes. The holes would get bigger, and it would split the stone, which was then slid down onto a waiting boat. Then men pulled it onto a slipway that already had oil on it. Once they were at the building site they were put on ramps to place them onto the pyramids. That is how the great pyramids where made.
