FIRST DAY FOR STUDENTS, MONDAY, AUGUST 30TH

2021-2022 Opening School Events and Supplies
REMINDER: PER SCHOOL DISTRICT REQUIRMENTS, BEGINING MONDAY, AUGUST 9TH ALL STUDENTS AND GUESTS VISITING NASD BUILDINGS MUST WEAR A MASK
Wednesday, August 25th Fifth & Sixth Grade Orientation
Our 5th and 6th grade orientation will take place on Wednesday, August 25, from 1:00-2:30pm. All students will report to the auditorium for a brief assembly at 1:00pm. They will be assigned to their homeroom teacher, get a tour of the building, walk through their classes and get dismissed at 2:30pm via the 5th grade doors. There will be NO bus service this day. Uniforms are optional this day, but must be worn beginning on August 30, 2021.
August 30, 2021 First Day of School for Students
We will share specific information as we continue to receive guidance and direction for Opening Day. As we prepare for our return, we will be returning to our school uniforms.
Supplies for 5th and 6th Grade students
- 4 copy books (composition/one subject)
- 4 folders
- Pencils/erasers with a pencil case
- Whiteboard markers
- Highlighter
- Earbud for Chromebook
- Mouse (student choice) for Chromebook
- Hand Sanitizer (personal size)
- Mask mandated (recommended students bring in additional 2-3 masks to keep in locker)
Supplies for 7th & 8th Grade Students
- 5 copy books(single, 5 subject/binder with 5 sections)
- 4 folders
- Pens/Pencils/Erasers with a pencil case
- Whiteboard markers
- Highlighter
- Earbud for Chromebook
- Mouse (student choice) for Chromebook
- Hand Sanitizer (personal size)
- Mask mandated (recommended students bring in 2-3 masks to keep in locker)
PLEASE NOTE: It is strongly encouraged that students have extra masks with them.
**Chromebooks and chargers MUST come to school everyday in a backpack**
School Uniforms
Eisenhower is a FULL uniform School. Our uniforms are light/navy or white collared (polo) or button down shirts, Blue or Khaki pants/skirt/skort/shorts. Jeans are NOT Allowed! Students should wear a belt if needed. Sneakers are best, but NO open toe shoes, slides, flip flops, slippers without rubber soles. Gym uniforms can be purchased via our website. Those students who do not purchase a gym uniform can wear blue shorts/sweatpants (not jeans) and a white or blue shirt to school on those days they have gym class. Please keep accessories to a minimum. During the colder months, students may wear a sweatshirt.
Please keep a look out for future announcements from our District as we continue to work with the Montgomery County Health Department regarding updated information on CoVid protocols.

Norristown Community Garden
Welcome to the Norristown Sprouts Community Garden!
This community garden is funded by the PA Department of Health’s Preventative Health and Health Services Block Grant and maintained by the Montgomery County Office of Public Health (MCOPH). The garden is a joint partnership between Eisenhower Science and Technology Leadership Academy and MCOPH and is located at Eisenhower Science and Technology Leadership Academy. The Norristown Sprouts Community Garden was founded in 2021 to primarily serve Norristown residents.
