A Message from the Administrator
Greetings MCS Families,
I would like to give an update on the threat that was received late last month. Tomorrow was the day that an individual made the threat on two Moscow Schools. As I mentioned last week, there has been upgraded police presence throughout the city and local schools.
The individual has been to court and, as mentioned in the April 12th edition of the Moscow Pullman Daily News, Chief James Fry assured the individual will be followed by a MPD officer that day. There are also additional plans coming down the line for communication to be delivered more effectively. Once this is set in motion, I will update you with the details.
As for tomorrow we are going to focus on kindness in our school. Our Helping Hands tree is beginning to take shape! "Supporting Each Other to Grow Together". The tree itself is hanging in the great room waiting on the "leaves" the students will be creating tomorrow. While we are working on this project, we will be focusing on kindness: why it is important, and ways we can share it with those around us. Please feel free to continue this conversation at home with your student, and stop in to read their individual leaf!
Please always feel free to get ahold of me with any concerns.
Sincerely,
Tony Bonuccelli
Administrator, Moscow Charter School

We're Turning 20!! Join the Celebration!
Did you know that our inaugural school year was the 1998-1999 school year and that we were the first Charter School in the state of Idaho? The 2018-2019 school year will be our 20th year in session! This is a huge accomplishment for Charter Schools and we are going to have a party to kick off our 20th anniversary. We invite you to join our celebration on April 25th from 5:00-7:00pm here at MCS!
Music performed by our middle school music class starts at 5pm and then a quick program will follow at 5:15pm. There will be 11 activity stations to visit. These will be provided by PCEI, PDSC, Gritman, Eureka Palouse, U of I College of Science, Alta Science & Engineering and 5 MCS teachers. We will have cake to finish off the celebration!
We look forward to spending the evening with you!
