Principal's Message

Welcome to March, Bard Community. First, I would like to thank our Bard Educational Partners for coming out to read, play, and spend some much-appreciated time with our students during the March 1st, Read Accross America Celebration. Below are a few pictures from that day.

This month, Bard Elementary will host the Families In Schools focus groups to hear from you on how we can improve family engagement and get our partners involved at Bard. For more information on important events taking place this month, please check the calendar below.

There are great benefits to learning outside the classroom!

Bard's teachers understand that taking classroom learning outside can help enrich students' educational experience by showing them real-life applications of theories they are learning in the classroom.

At Bard, Students Are Heard, Seen and Acknowledged by Our Caring Staff and Students!

Start The Day Off Right!

Bard families, please ensure that our students arrive on campus no later than 7:55 am. Arriving on time allows students to walk to their line and be ready to learn. Students should be in their seats by 8:00 am—students arriving after 8:02 are marked tardy.

Student Safety 1st During Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Please support our effort to keep our students safe by respecting the no-parking areas.

When picking up and dropping off your students at school, ideally, we would ask that you park on a side street or in the school parking lot and walk your student to a school entrance.

Rear Parking Lot: If you drop off or pick up students at the side gate of the rear parking lot, please stay to the right, nearest the yellow line at the fence. Staying to the right will allow other vehicles to exit around those vehicles still waiting for their student(s).

Jerry Drive and Lillian Drive Gates: There are two gates at the rear of the Bard playground, which are available for student pick-up or drop-off. The gates at the Jerry Drive and Lillian Drive cul de sacs are staffed during pick-up and drop-off times and are significantly less crowded. The Jerry Drive and Lillian Drive gates are excellent pick-up and drop-off area alternatives.

IT IS NOT SAFE AND ILLEGAL TO PARKING ON PLEASANT VALLEY RD DIRECTORY OUTSIDE THE KINDER CLASSROOMS. There is plenty of parking in the school parking lot, and much safer.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Congratulations Bard ASES Soccer Team!
