Our #KindnessMatters Goal of 5,000 Acts Achieved!
Newsletter for March 6th
Hello from the Yelle.
March is off to an incredible start!
It was a busy week here at the Yelle! Last Friday night, our HAY PTO hosted a Family Fun Night at Altitude. It was sensational. I had a great time there. Please check out the information below for you can still jump and support the Yelle.
Wednesday, I Shadowed 6 Students throughout their day to see what it is like as a Yelle 4th and 5th Grader. See the story and pictures below.
Since our presentations by Kelley Perotti from ThinkKindness before February Break, our students were challenged to do 5,000 Random Acts of Kindness in the next few weeks. Our students have come through in amazing ways. Below, you will see the final tallying of the challenge. Those letters filled up incredibly from each homeroom. Please see below.
Please make sure you check out the rest of the Newsletter, so many pictures, information, and fliers are below.
Also Click on the Purple Bar below for the Wakelet story of all the Tweets from this week. They, too, are amazing.
Right below, you will find a detailed Calendar of upcoming events and other important dates as well. Please check it out.
Please continue to check out this newsletter either through your email, Twitter, or from the Yelle website, and please let me know if you would like or need more updates and/or communication from our school.
Thanks; have a great weekend,

AN AWESOME NIGHT AT ALTITUDE
It was great fun at the Yelle Family Fun Night at Altitude on Friday, February 28! The night was so much fun and we had a ton of Yelle students and families come. Victor has not given us our numbers yet, but no matter what it was a successful night.
As soon as I know the exact numbers, I will share them.
But for now, if you still want to purchase tickets to support the Yelle, when you go to purchase a ticket, say you are purchasing for Yelle, or when you are online at https://www.altitudenorthattleboro.com/ click on Buy a Pass, and after picking your date, select as one of the choices -- "Yelle" with the time of your jumping.
Thank you!
I have included some pictures below.
Thanks again to all of the PTO and Yelle Families for making this night a huge success!
Thanks everyone!

Mr. Geoghegan's Shadow A Student Experience 2020
On Wednesday, March 4, Mr. G shadowed six of our Yelle Students, three from each grade.
This is an experience I have been doing as a Principal for the past 5 years.
It is the brainchild of SchoolRetool, who wants administrators to see what a student would typically experience in a full day of school.
I can tell you that it was a tremendous experience going from bus stop in to bus stop home and everything in between. I may try to get into classes each and every day, but doing a whole day is simply incredible.
I just tried to pick six students, who I didn't shadow last year and also teachers, whose classes I didn't go through last year as well to try to make the experience different than last.
Please click this link to see a Wakelet story of the Tweets from my #ShadowAStudent experience.
It really was sensational. Everyone was great. Thank you to all the teachers, parents, and of course our amazing students who allowed me an incredible glimpse into their daily school world here at the Yelle.
Kindness Challenge Met!
Hello Yelle Parents!
On Friday, February 7, in two great presentations Kelley Perotti from ThinkKindness challenged our students.
The Yelle invited, through the generous support of our HAY PTO, one of the nation's Top Youth Speakers, Kelley Perotti, to challenge our kids to a massive 15 Day Kindness challenge.
The entire student body WAS challenged to start carrying-out acts of kindness in the halls, classrooms, at home and throughout the community. Each student received daily kindness challenges through our Announcements from our Yelle Student Council.
Our Yelle Student Council made sure to keep Kelley's message going to keep doing Acts of Kindness for the weeks we participated and throughout the rest of the year. They tallied the Kindness journals and we met our goal of 5,000 Acts of Kindness!
It was awesome! The Student Council did such a sensational job.
Our Top Classes were Miss Quigley's and Mrs. Almeida's from 5th Grade overall, with Miss Leonard's class being the tops in 4th Grade. Miss Allen and Mrs. Benson's class very close in their Acts of Kindness. You can barely make out their letters below with all the sticky notes covering them on their Acts of Kindness.
Everyone is a winner in a challenge like this. We want to thank everyone for all their efforts and keep Thinking Kindness for the rest of the year! #KindnessMatters!
