Wax on, Wax off
Mrs. Drummond has been living the Netflix life of Cobra Kai these past few weeks so she was able to talk our Auto Collision program into learning the art of Wax on, Wax off. Or maybe it was just part of the planned curriculum.... This week, our Auto Collision program was able to offer staff an amazing opportunity to have their car professionally washed and polished in preparation for the winter months in exchange for a $40 donation to the Auto Collision Extra Curricular account. If interested in learning more, please contact Mr. Ross to see if he has any upcoming availability.
Future Colleagues are out and about
Our students in the Education Professions program are out and about throughout Warren Township. Through this opportunity students are able to work side by side with a classroom teacher to begin applying their classroom knowledge to their practice. We are fortunate to have an amazing group of classroom teachers that help support Mrs. Jordan and all of our cadets that are placed within the township!
Respect and Character Award Winner
Our first Respect and Character Award Winner for Walker Career Center this year is Mr. Greg Paxson. Mr. Paxson joined our Business Department last January after several years in the classroom, industry, and administrative positions outside of Warren Township. He has been a wonderful addition to our Walker family and has instantly taken lead on our Prep for College and Career program. Congratulations Mr. Paxson!
Senior Football Players Honor WCC Staff
Last week, the WCHS Senior Football players were able to honor their favorite educator by selecting them to be recognized prior to the Warren Central vs. Lawrence Central football game. Congratulations to Mr. Pat Patterson, Mrs. Andrea "Chef" Yount, and Ms. Cassidy Handy on this outstanding accomplishment.
