A Principal's Perspective
Greetings,
Renaissance parents and guardians! We are quickly approaching the end of the first 9 weeks. It is essential to your student's success that they are here at school everyday, on-time, and ready to learn. Due to our accelerated curriculum schedule it is important that students are doing their best to keep up with assignments, due dates, and assessments. Students do have an opportunity to move at a faster pace, but that is only, if they actually have a pace. Speaking with your students daily on what they did at school and what they need to complete can assist us in keeping them focused.
Midterm grades were posted the week of August 28th and the 1st 9 week grading window will open September 20th and close September 25th. Report cards will be available for parents to pick up at Parent-Teacher Conferences October 1, 2019.
Best Regards!
Dean's Corner -- Discussion With The Dean
Hello Renaissance Family,
As demands and complexities of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to ensure that our children reach their potential. We believe all of us must work together in an extended family environment to empower children to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible. With that in mind, we encourage you to attend school events and become a member of parent organizations. Research on schools clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their child’s school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success.

formal politeness and courtesy in behavior or speech.
"I hope we can treat each other with civility and respect"
We are working really hard as a school to make sure that our students understand the importance of showing civility in all they do. I would encourage you to recognize your student when you see them showing civility in the home or within your community.
