Economic Beliefs

Hamilton had a dream of national greatness, but this depended on the United States having a strong and stable economy. He favored in the wealthy people and manufacturing. Hamilton was a federalist so he believed the "best people" should run the country. By using the federal government's power to promote business, manufacturing, and trade, Hamilton would be increased the nation's wealth. When writing his report, Hamilton relied greatly on "The Wealth of Nations".
