A Note from the Principal
What a wonderful evening of food, fellowship and music we had on Monday night. Our numbers were slim but we were strong in spirit. We laughed, we ate, we visited, we sang and we learned about a wonderful ministry opportunity for the CCS students and staff.
Christian Missionary Fellowship (CMF) offers a child sponsorship program. CCS students and staff want to begin our own project through CMF. Our goal is for each class, K-6th grade (to begin the process) to choose a young person from CMF to adopt as a classmate. The students will get to know their fellow student, be able to write letters back and forth and share pictures. The goal is for the CMF classmate to follow each class through graduation from Columbus Christian School. We hope to create a long standing tradition at CCS where each class at CCS has an adopted classmate from around the world. CCS students will learn about their classmate, their culture, their country and most importantly what it means to share God’s love, even to those they may never meet in person.
CMF’s Child Sponsorship program is part of a holistic strategy for families and communities to break out of the cycle of poverty through education and opportunity. Your decision to invest in a child through sponsorship will transform the life of the child, his family and his impoverished community.
Our hope is that each student and their family (K-12th grade) will commit to $1.00 per week for our Chapel offering. This will provide enough money to sponsor the adopted classmate throughout the entire calendar year. Please help us in providing this valuable ministry and learning opportunity for all CCS students. If you have any questions about CMF or the CCS project, come and talk with me or Ron Bridgewater, ECCC Pastor. We would love to answer your questions.
Special thank you to those who brought food, helped clean up, entertained the kids and to Ron Bridgewater for sharing his talents with us. Mrs. Wright was the winner of our Chili/Soup contest. We now have a start to our CMF fund.
Blessings

Think About:
- Jesus didn't gravitate toward religious people.
- People who weren't anything like Jesus, liked Jesus. He drew crowds but they weren't religious people.
- We are his representation on earth.
