The ACTS Group
May Update
In April, ACTS entered a second 90 day period of Strategic Review. This is the second strategic review period since ACTS began in September of 2012. The first was in the summer of 2014 when consultant Rose Lester helped in many ways to clarify mission and strategic steps for the ACTS Group. Of the many directives at that time, none was more important than pursuing the idea of a united gospel initiative. From that impetus, the Every School/Every Neighbor initiative was launched in August of 2015 and is slowly taking hold as a key idea for gospel engagement for dozens of churches.
Still, the landscape of our city, culture and the church is in a time of dynamic change. ACTS as a missional organization must remain nimble and responsive and increasingly focused on measurable results for the local church, for united initiatives, and for leaders. In this current Strategic Review, we are looking for a functional leadership structure and a financially sustainable model that has not yet been found for ACTS Group. We will continue with the review through late June. I ask for your prayers for me, for President John Jackson (William Jessup University), Scott Thurmond (Thurmond Consulting), Pastor Paul Edwards (Sunriver Church), Peter Henderson (COO of Church Resource Ministries) and David Sudarma (media specialist and founder of 95 West) who are praying, discerning and working through this process to our “ACTS 3.0” reality.

April was a great month for Church/School Partnerships! About 20 churches in the Sacramento region participated in a school beautification project during the Serve Our Schools emphasis week. About 5 churches also participated in a prayer walk for their school during this time. THANK YOU to everyone who participated in these activities! While weeding, landscaping and praying may seem like small contributions, they can have an incredible unseen and eternal impact in the years to come as relationships are built and God answers prayer on behalf of leaders and families in our communities.

What part will you play?
As SacramentoPrays mobilizes and equips the Church body to enter into the presence of God, we feel called to activate more people into the work of SacramentoPRAYS. Habakkuk 2:14 prophesies that the "earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord." I don't know if we can emphasize that enough: we will know the glory of the Lord.
Because the Lamb is worthy, we see a global call for revival amongst our cities. How will you see revival in your city? What part will you play? Part of this call is birthed out of God's people calling on His name to move! To find out more about how you or your ministry can be a part of this united gospel movement in Sacramento through prayer- please contact us!
We are in a season of identifying and making known the beautiful resources of the Body of Christ in our Region and we will be holding several meetings in the coming months to bring more and more ministries and churches together to honor the Lord through prayer and worship collectively, together, with love for one another. To receive invitation to those meetings, please contact the me by the email listed below.

Convergence World
To think... this month marks a year since the idea of Convergence World was imagined! Since the idea was birthed in May of 2015 Convergence World has developed to be a strong well oiled machine bringing regional leaders together to talk on their area of passion and expertise. As Dan Axtell said, "Conversations don't change things but most change starts with a conversation."
Over the past year we have recorded over 50 Convergence Talks! My favorite part of these talks is the relationships and connections that are built through the networking opportunities provided through the recordings and interview. Leaders in the region are unifying with other leaders in their similar sphere of influence that would not have met through any other avenue.
Now it is time to step it up! We will soon be featuring meet ups for more leaders in the region to connect with each other over their shared sphere of influence. Through these meet ups people will be able to connect and discuss how they can and will better bring Jesus to their sphere. God is working & we are partnering. Stay tuned to learn how you can join in the action!

Financial Update & Partners Like You
For all who have read these updates, I am grateful for you and for you interest and engagement in the ACTS Group. It is amazing to me that I have been able to serve in various capacities over the last two years and four months. During that time, I have had the opportunity to finish my MBA from Washington State University. I am in an active job search and am in the process of handing of the financial responsibilities I have been serving with the ACTS Group to Mike Brill. Mike, who has been serving SacramentoPRAYS, graduated from William Jessup University with a business degree in Non-Profit management. He will do well in working with the new shape of ACTS Group that the Strategic Review will produce. As I finish my role with ACTS Group, I want to challenge you to find your way to be engaged and to join me in being someone who will financially give to allow this fantastic ministry to flourish in the Sacramento region and beyond.
