Preschool & Kindergarten Fall 2023
We anticipate a busy year in admissions. We want to ensure that you, our current families, secure the spots you want for the upcoming school-year in our Preschool and Kindergarten. Please take a moment and indicate your classroom preference for the Fall 2023. We will reserve spots in these classrooms based on your responses.
If you will be adding a sibling to the preschool and need a spot reserved, please submit this survey twice (once for each child). For families with 2 or more children in preschool now, please submit the form twice (once for each child). We will ask you to formally register your child in January, this survey is just to ensure we reserve your first choice spot for your child.
Take the Survey & Reserve your Spot Now (click here)
Questions? Please contact Director of Admissions, Mrs. Kim Knuutila at knuutilak@desalescatholicschool.org or at (716)433-6422 ext 407.
OPT IN for messages from DeSales
We are adding text messaging capability to the system we use now for emergency phone calls and emails. The system will be configured to send text messages to cell phone numbers whose recipients have agreed to receive them.
OPT IN for messages from DeSales - You can agree to receive texts from DeSales by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587. If you do not Opt In, you will not receive text notifications (you would still receive emergency phone call notifications).
You may opt out of text notifications from DeSales at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.
If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Knuutila at knuutilak@desalescatholicschool.org.

Tune into Hope Rises
Tune in Friday morning to News 4 Buffalo WIVB at 8:40am or 9:10am to watch Hope Rises. Three DeSales 6th graders, Julianna Pearl, Mila Digiacomo and Katie Kreger will be featured for the kindness movement they have started. The group of young ladies, self-named Writer's Block, will talk about what inspired them to start a campaign of writing positive notes to DeSales faculty and staff. Way to go Knights!
New Reading Curriculum
DeSales 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Linda Crofts commented on Wonders saying, "One thing I really like about the new reading series is the Reading/ Writing Companion workbook. After reading a text the students write about author's purpose, text features, narrative point of view, etc.. The students don't just answer questions, they have to cite text evidence supporting their answers. Doing this encourages students to read more carefully, thereby understanding the text more clearly."
We are confident this new program will set our young readers up for future success!
