Every Little Bit Helps

At Bolton Hill Nursery, we have quite the sense of community and we all work together toward a common goal. Just as the title says, every little bit helps whether communicating with the staff, helping another family with drop off, watching a classroom during a staff meeting or clicking the AmazonSmile website each time you shop. Earlier this week, we received a check from AmazonSmile for $49 and another check from Schoola for $36. Way to go guys! The links are below if you want to check them out.

Have other fundraising ideas? Please feel free to share.

1. Bolton Hill Nursery is closed for nursery students due to limited staff.

2. BHN will open at 9:00am for daycare students only.

If Baltimore City Schools are closed:

If, for some reason the school cannot open, parents will be notified by email by 7:00am. There will also be a recorded message on the BHN phones by 7:00am.

This week it was Terrific (Tt) in the Redbird room! The birds made the letter "T" with their bodies. They were able to name many words beginning with the letter "T" and enjoyed learning the new sound! On Friday we met the pilgrims and started to learn about their exciting trip to a new land. Monday we will find out what happened when they reached America!

Uniting Diverse Artists: An Art Exhibit and Silent Auction to Benefit Midtown Academy

On Friday, December 5th, 2014, Midtown Academy, Bolton Hill's local Charter School, will hold a contemporary art exhibit and silent auction at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). The event will take place 5:30-9 p.m. in MICA’s Fox Building on Mt. Royal Avenue.

The exhibit, “Uniting Diverse Artists,” features the works of prominent artists from across the region and country, a number of whom have been featured in exhibits at venues such as the Smithsonian, the Corcoran, and the Baltimore Museum of Art. There also will be works from students in Midtown’s own art program, and all proceeds will go directly towards helping fund Midtown’s superior academic and arts programming. For more information about the event, please visit

"Play, while it cannot change the external realities of children’s lives, can be a vehicle for children to explore and enjoy their differences and similarities and to create, even for a brief time, a more just world where everyone is an equal and valued participant."
