Highlights & News

JUNIORS! PSAT/NMSQT Scores Have Arrived!

Attention all Junior class students and parents - score reports have arrived for the PSAT/NMSQT tests our juniors took this past October. Mrs. Hilton will be visiting classrooms in early January to distribute paper score reports and test booklets to students and explain the results. However, students are already able to access their scores online as of December 12th. In order to access online scores, students will need to either register for or log onto their existing College Board account at Upon logging in or registering, students will see a screen with their scores. Some students may need an online access code which will be emailed from the College Board (to the email address the student indicated on their answer sheet) or can be obtained from Mrs. Hilton in the Guidance Office.

Use the information contained in this resource, "A Parent Tutorial: Understanding 2016 PSAT/NMSQT Results" to help interpret your student's score report. If you need further assistance, please contact Mrs. Hilton in the Guidance Center at 815-338-4220, ext. 121 or via email

Do you live in McHenry? Can you help with a carpool next year?

We still are in need of a family to help with a carpool for a family new to Marian! The Admissions Office has an incoming freshman family for the 2017-2018 school year that would like to connect with a carpool to provide a ride to and from school. The family lives just off Rt. 31 in McHenry. Please contact Mike Maloney at (815) 338-4220 ext. 108, or email at if you may be able to help. Thank you!

Spreading Christmas Cheer!

A special THANK YOU to our amazing Parent Association for treating all of our students to candy-canes during all the lunch periods in celebration of St. Nicholas Day! The students were so excited to see all the moms come around to each table, baskets filled with minty treats to share!
