Meet your counselor and pick up your schedule
Meet with your counselor before school starts
All Humanitas Magnet students are encouraged to meet with their counselor, Ms. Mata, to preview their schedules next week. You may also be able to pick up your textbooks. You must turn in a completed Emergency Information form and a completed lunch application. Lunch applications were mailed home.
10th-12th graders who want to take a zero period LAVC class must also bring in their K-12 form. The class has been changed to Communications I (Speech).
12th graders who do not turn in a K-12 form before school starts will have six classes on their schedule. Print the from at the bottom of this email.
Program Preview Days
10th graders on Tuesday, August 13th from 9-12 AM
11th graders on Wednesday, August 14th from 9-12 AM.
12th graders on Thursday, August 15th from 9-12 AM.
9th graders on Friday, August 16, following the Freshman Picnic from 9-1:00 PM.

New Student Orientation
All new Grant High School students are encouraged to attend orientation on Thursday, August 15th from 6 PM to 7 PM. Arrive early to find parking.
Complete your LAVC application
All incoming Humanitas Magnet students need to complete the application for Los Angeles Valley College. You'll receive your acceptance email about a week after you complete the application. Please save your student ID number and keep it handy. We will help you register for your LAVC classes when school starts.
