HCPS 411 Update
February 27, 2020
A Message From Superintendent Bulson
Good Morning, Maryland!
Want to give your class, your afterschool club, your co-workers, or any other school group you can think of a special shout-out? Why not share it with all of the ABC2 News viewing area! ABC2 News is looking for “Good Morning, Maryland” shout-outs from HCPS. The videos can be recorded with a cell phone but must be shot horizontally. They can be as simple as: Teacher: “From Ms./Mr. ____’s _grade class at ________ School...” Whole group/teacher with students: “Good Morning, Maryland!”
If you’d like the anchors to mention any additional details, you can send those along with your video to Lauren.Cook@WMAR.com. A special request from Lauren: “Please leave at least 3-4 seconds of padding before and after people talk, even longer at the end if students want to wave and/or clap.”
Want to invite Lauren to visit your school or classroom to shoot the video for you? Or to read a story? Or talk to your journalism students? Let Jillian Lader, Manager of Communications, (Jillian.Lader@hcps.org) know when and she will arrange the visit! Don’t forget, Lauren is on-air until 9:00 a.m.!

Maryland State Department of Education Technical Assistance Bulletins
The Special Education Department, as part of an effort to inform school leaders and faculty, will be highlighting each week one or more of the MSDE Division of Early Intervention and Special Education Services (DEI-SES) Technical Assistance Bulletins.
This week, we are sharing the guidance on Maryland State Guidelines: Management of the Needs of the Oxygen-Dependent Student.
A full list of available DEI-SES Technical Assistance Bulletins are available on the MSDE website, located here.
Questions regarding this should be directed to any of the Coordinators for Special Education, at x5246.
