My Childhood! I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama with my mother and three younger brothers. My brothers and I spent a lot of time with our grandmother, which is when I fell in love with teaching and learning. I graduated from schools within the Birmingham City School System. North Roebuck Elementary School, Martha Gaskins Middle School, and Carol W. Hayes High School prepared me to become a great person. These schools provided me with a strong foundation in core content areas while gaining valuable lifelong skills. | My Education! In December of 2015, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. In August of 2019, I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a Master’s Degree in Reading Education.
