Remote Counseling-week 2
Hello From Mrs. Krug!
Great job with our first week of remote learning! Every time you try something new you are showing that you are brave and flexible.
As we continue to face the changes around us, here is a short story you can read to your child:
Check-In Check in with your child by asking him/her these questions often. They might want to start a journal for reflection questions and activities to come. (all grades) | Feeling of the Week- Anxious Anxious is the way we feel when we worry. Sometimes we worry about things we cannot control. Watch my video lesson for help with this. | Task Card This week's task will be great for anxiety! If you go for a walk with someone in your family to complete this task, share the 5 things you find with them. |

"I Can Calm"
When you feel anxious, you can use your 5 senses to feel calm. This is called "grounding" just like I showed you in my video. The book at this link also explains how to use the grounding technique to help when you feel anxious.
Parent Tip of the Week
The 4 Elements of Connection:
Our children need us to connect with them more now than ever. True connection requires 4 elements: Eye contact, presence, touch, and playfulness. Read more here about this true connection and feel free to contact me if I can help you with this during this time.
