NISC takes Action in Cambodia

Help us help others.

Grade 4-5 with help from Grade 12 are making a difference

Taking Action is an important part of the IB philosophy.
It can be Action at Home, School, or in the Community.
This term NISC students are wanting to take Action to help those in the community who do not have proper shelter.

GRADE 4/5 BETTER LIFE CARNIVAL

Friday, April 26th, 2:30-5pm

We are having a carnival to raise $3,500 to build houses for the poor.These poor people have no houses and no food. We are building houses for them and giving them food so that they can have a better life. Please come and enjoy the carnival and help the poor people.

Our Action Timeline

  1. Identify Issues
  2. Visit the Village, document and discuss needs with the family
  3. Break into Action Teams at NISC
  4. Research, design and communicate our aims with the NISC Community
  5. Plan and prepare for Fundraising Carnival with Grade 12 students
  6. Source donations from businesses and create flyers to advertise the day
  7. Get support from students and staff at NISC for the Carnival
  8. Hold the carnival
  9. Collect in ticket cash and pay any hire fees.
  10. Discuss with Families how to move to next stage in Home building.

We are NISC Gr 4-5 Action

We doing this for the poor people. And we builds a house for them and we give them food so they can be strong and healthy.

What did we raise?

We raised over $4500, and will now be able to have the family choose either cows, pigs or chickens at raise both for income and for food.
