OSMO

Osmo is a first of its kind play/learning system for the iPad. Osmo has a little device that projects the front facing camera down to your desktop. Using blocks, letter tiles and other objects you can interact with the apps that Osmo offers for free.

Currently Osmo is $79 and will ship to you in October.

TIM'S TAKE on OSMO

OSMO is at the beginning stages of something really cool. I expect to see more and more apps and products from them in the near future.

Students like never before will be interacting with each other and the iPad.

I should have OSMO on Thursday. (if it shows up on time) If you would like to see it in action, let me know.

Sphero's SPRK for Education

Play is a powerful teacher

We create connected toys - but that's not all. By fusing technology with robotics, our toys are teaching and inspiring tomorrow's inventors and innovators. Programming isn't easy, but you don't need to be a rocket scientist to give kids a strong foundation. All you need is a Sphero.

There are STEM Lessons as well as SPRK Lessons. FREE APPS

TIM'S TAKE on SPHERO

I've been following the Sphero for sometime now and just recently purchased the Ollie. I believe this is the kind of item can engage students to learn about coding, computer science, math, and other subjects. It's fun and exciting and gets students critical thinking.

I hope to get the school to purchase the 10 pack for Education and get a Robotics Club going. I will also bring in the Ollie as soon as it arrives for anyone that wants to test it out. Should be in the week of the 22nd.
