Multicultural Helpdesk
The Multicultural Youth Program works with teenagers and young adults from diverse backgrounds, with a focus on working with youth and their families who may self-identify as multicultural or from an immigrant family. The goal of the EHS Multi-Cultural Helpdesk is to help students connect to resources, services, and programs in the community, develop leadership and peer mentoring skills, and gain the knowledge, life skills, and encouragement to succeed on their particular paths of education and growth.
If you would like to make an appointment to meet with the Multi-Cultural Helpdesk, you can email ehsmulticulturalhelpdesk@ewsd.org or contact your school counselor. Please say hello and give a warm welcome if you see a helpdesk staff member at EHS!
HopeWorks Online Support Group
HOPEWorks is a Vermont non-profit organization serving Chittenden County dedicated to ending all forms of sexual violence. This semester HOPEWorks is offering an anonymous, online support group for survivors of sexual violence, and we wanted to inform our students of this opportunity and share the support group flyer. HOPEWorks believe that this group may be a great resource for high school students who are unable to travel to other places for help and/or who are under 18 and do not have access to many confidential resources. A variety of safety and privacy procedures have been put in place for this support group. If you have questions about this group or other resources for survivors of sexual violence, you may reach HOPEWorks directly by calling 863-1236 or using this form to submit a request for contact, and you can also speak more with your school counselor.
Thank you,

Vermont Career Connect
VSAC’s virtual career exploration event for middle and high school students, is now live at https://www.vsac.org/vermont-career-connect.
This event is produced by VSAC’s GEAR UP program in partnership with the J. Warren and Lois McClure Foundation, Careers CLiC, Northern Vermont University, Northern Vermont AHEC, and the Rutland Region Workforce Investment Board.
On our website you’ll find:
A career interest survey for students and more information on the 16 career clusters
Links to nearly 100 videos where students can hear directly from people in a wide variety of careers about their work
Additional resources for exploring careers and training requirements
An activity to help students reflect on the videos they’ve watched and identify next steps in their career planning journey, which we’re hoping can be a resource for their PLPs
