Family & Student: Important Information and Support!
Warren Tech Message for 8th Graders!
Dear 8th Grade Parents & Guardians:
On Thursday, September 28 2023, your student will be taking a tour of Warren Tech
High School’s central campus. For more information about Warren Tech please see
additional information below.
Warren Tech is an extension of every Jefferson County high school and offers
academic, career and technical training and education in 36 different programs.
These programs prepare high school students with academic, career and technical
skills for college, employment and potential careers.
Most students at Warren Tech are high school juniors and seniors as students must
be 16 in order to attend. Programs range in length from two to four semesters.
Credits earned at Warren Tech count toward graduation and qualify as academic
credits and electives under the Colorado Commission on Higher Education College
admission requirements. Most of Warren Tech’s programs also provide the
opportunity for students to earn college credit through the Colorado Community
College System.
It is recommended that interested students talk to their counselors early in their
high school careers regarding attending Warren Tech. Careful course planning will
ensure that students can meet high school graduation requirements and also take
advantage of Warren Tech’s opportunities.
Please complete the attached permission form and return to Stephanie.Schroeder@jeffco.k12.co.us no later than Thursday Sep 25, 2023.
Your student will need to be dropped off at JCRL (1505 S. Pierson St., Lakewood, CO 80232) no later than 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 28th. Buses will leave promptly at 11:10 AM.

Outdoor Lab is coming up soon for 6th Graders!
Have you filled out the consent form yet? Outdoor Lab is one of those unforgettable trips that all sixth graders in Jeffco take. Some of our teachers were Jeffco students, and they went, too! Here is what one teacher, Dr. Bill Graves, High School Science, had to say:
I went as a student to Mt. Evans (back in the dark ages, probably '78 or '79!). February. I remember it was cold. Loved all of the hikes, star gazing, orienteering. Was nervous about being away and communal living, but it all worked out well and was a great experience for me.
Parents, were you Jeffco students? Do you have an Outdoor Lab experience you can share? Please email: cindy.shapiro@jeffco.k12.co.us so we can put it in our newsletter!
