Notes from Mr. Hill
There are great things planned for our kiddos within each classroom and as a school but as always, our goal is to provide your kids and families with the best education possible. As we go throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to contact us if we can do anything to help your student grow and thrive. We will be exploring new ways to engage our families in the educational process as well but welcome you to reach out and be as involved as you can too. After two years of COVID precautions, we are once again welcoming parent volunteers into the classrooms to help the teachers, read with kids or help in any way you can. In addition to that, we are looking for volunteers to help with building and district level committees that guide the work we do. Lastly, our PTO is in need of your help! The PTO does so much to help our students but they need your participation at meetings and with events to keep those opportunities going. Stay tuned to these announcements for more details on each of these opportunities throughout the year.
Thank you again for help making the start of the school year so successful and we are looking forward to seeing all of our students grow and blossom as learners this year!
Humbly,
Nick Hill

Dismissal Time Change
We have changed the time for dismissal of car riders this year to 2:50. We are also dismissing walkers a little later, at 3:20, so as to avoid car and bus traffic and make their trip safer. All dismissal times for buses remain the same as last year.
Car Rider Change
This year, we will have safety guards at the entrance to NVE's drive, on to Walnut St. In an effort to keep our families safe, we will be stopping all eastbound and westbound traffic on Walnut St. at approximately 2:55 to release our car rider families. Please be aware and watching for their signals and other altered traffic patterns at this time. Your help by being aware and cautious will help keep everyone safe.
Car Rider Dismissal
In another change for car riders this year, we will be dismissing students from INSIDE the school, instead of outside, under the awning. Please have your car tags visible so when you pull up, we can quickly and easily radio for your student's corresponding number and send them to you once you are parked in the circle. The purpose of this is to keep all of our students safe during dismissal. Door B pickup will operate as normal.
