- Trimester Two ends on Friday 3/10. Any athletes with more than 4 UNEXCUSED absences or failing more than 8 credits are ineligible to play spring sports. Athletes that are ineligible may sign a contract and work to regain their eligibility halfway through the season. Any questions about attendance should be directed to the Dean of Students' Office, and questions regarding grades should be directed to individual teachers and/or guidance counselors.
- Transportation: All athletes are required to take school-provided transportation to away contests. If parents/guardians wish to bring their athletes home from an away contest they must provide written notice to the coach and/or the Athletic Department 24 hours prior to the contest. Athletes on co-op may be given permission to drive to away contests, but written notice must be provided per the guidelines above.
Spring Sports Registration Checklist:
- FamilyID/Arbiter Registration Link
- DOCUMENTATION of an up-to-date physical examination. This is good for 13 months. Once it expires the athlete becomes ineligible to participate again until he/she receives one.
- NFHS Concussion Awareness Course for Students. The MIAA mandates that this must be completed EVERY SCHOOL YEAR. A copy of the completion certificate must be shared with the Athletic Department.
- Baseline Impact Testing for ALL 9th and 11th graders. This 30 - 35 minute test completed under the supervision of our Certified Athletic Trainer assesses an individual's visual and verbal memory, reaction time, and processing speed before a head injury. If an athlete suffers a head injury, the information from this test is used to help guide professionals as they work to assist the athlete in returning to play safely.
- User Fees are $50 for all sports. There is a $100 family cap for the school year. This must be paid prior to the first contest. This can paid through FamilyID or via a check payable to "Tri-County Athletics".
- Spring Sports Master Schedule: This is a weekly breakdown of competitions, practices, and early dismissals. It is a living document that is updated as changes occur.

Spring Sports Individual and Game Photographs
Jonathan Raskow, ATC, LAT is the health care provider for all our sports teams, providing injury prevention, evaluation and treatment, concussion management, sideline medical coverage, and all things related to the health and well-being of our student-athletes. He comes with a wealth of knowledge from all levels of sports, from professional to middle school.
Student-athlete safety is a top priority for Tri-County Athletics. Athletic trainers have a specialized scope of practice that includes injury prevention, emergency care, clinical evaluation, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Injuries and conditions that arise during the athletic seasons are documented according to Mass General Brigham standards and followed up on to ensure the health and safety of the student-athletes.
It is the responsibility of the licensed athletic trainer to determine if an injured athlete may continue to participate in their sport, and when they will be allowed to return to participation. This determination is often done in conjunction with our consulting physicians or with the athlete's primary care/orthopedic physician.
INJURIES & THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STUDENT-ATHLETE AND HIS/HER PARENT/GUARDIAN
Tri-County student-athletes are expected to work in partnership with their coaches, and athletic trainer to ensure they stay in the right physical condition to succeed on the field and in the classroom.
Student-athletes are expected to:
- Inform the athletic trainer of ALL injuries that occur during the season, whether or not it happened while participating in their sport. This is essential in the recovery process.
- Inform the athletic trainer of ALL medical doctor visits regarding injury and return to participation.
- Provide the athletic trainer with a written note from ALL doctor visits. This is important for documentation of an athlete's injury and return to participation guidelines, plus it aids in communication between the physician and Tri-County Athletics. Student-athletes will not be allowed to return to participation without a note from their physician.
Tri-County Athletic Boosters
The Tri-County Boosters serve as the fundraising arm of the Tri-County Athletic Department. Unlike the often multiple parent organizations in many other schools that support specific sports, the Boosters support the entire Tri-County athletic program.
Membership is open to all Tri-County alumni, parents, and supporters from throughout the Tri-County community at three levels — Member, Booster, and Patron. Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month during the school year.
