Holland Happenings
Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year
Holland Prepares Superheroes!
We are so excited to be back on campus and are gearing up for a great school year! We have several new faces joining us this year at Holland. You will get to know them in the days ahead. We have certainly missed our classrooms busy with students practicing skills and are ready for this semester of work. Remember, Holland is a place to prepare for the many fields of healthcare. In the midst of a pandemic, where better to learn how to care for patients than here at Holland!? We all know that SUPER HEROES wear masks and capes! So, here as we train for our job in the world of healthcare, we too will wear masks and practice good hygiene. In addition, Holland students will learn how to wear all personal protective gear (PPE), not just because of COVID19, but as is required for future success in the field. Get ready to mask up and learn what it takes to be a Healthcare SUPERHERO!

Super Hero Requirements
Please be sure your shot records are updated! It is required that all students have an updated bacterial meningitis vaccine on file. If your vaccine has expired, you will be required to get a new one by the end of the 1st week of school. These vaccines are good for 5 years, so if yours was given in 2014, it's time for a new one! Depending on when you had one in 2015, you may also need a new one. Check with your healthcare provider or Taylor county health department to obtain an updated vaccine.
Secondly, first year students to Holland need to complete the Group 1 background check. This is an online background check that is required for clinical rotations at Hendrick. You will have a link to this background check in your google classroom. This background check is $30 and must be completed by the end of the first week of school. A copy of the results must be submitted to Mrs. Seekins. See information in your google classroom for more details.
