Online Resources

Soon, your child's teacher will be sending you information about setting up an account on This website is a wonderful way for your child to practice spelling and vocabulary words daily. There are games and practice tests as well as a means of tracking your child's progress. Even before you get the login info from your child's teacher, you can still get onto Spelling City, add your child's spelling list, and start practicing! is a great website for practicing and improving reading comprehension. Soon, you should receive login information for your child so that he can use this site at home. This website gives excellent test prep for reading comprehension and allows you to track your child's progress and effort.

Khan Academy is a HUGE resource for learning. If your child hasn't set up an account on Khan Academy, I highly encourage you to do that today! There's Khan Academy kids for our younger students as well. Both are great extensions of what your child is learning in school!

These are all excellent resources to extend your child's learning and prepare for tests. We know that memorizing facts does not equal learning, so the more at home practice you can give your child, the better! Plus, these are great things to have your child do on a "Snow Day" or other day off of school!

Promoting Positive Mental Health

If you're like me, you are constantly worried about your kids. I'm always asking myself: Am I raising good kids? Are they kind? Are they hardworking? Will they be successful? Will they contribute to society? More and more, I find myself adding to the list of questions. Are they happy? Are they mentally, as well as physically, strong?

Raising kids today is HARD! We are a constantly moving society with 24 hour access to news reports and social media. It's not something we can easily change, so how do we adapt and ensure our kids are "okay"?

Below, you will find some links that help you promote positive mental healthy in your family, as well as identifying times when your child might be struggling. I hope you will find some value in these resources!

Sharing our Flyers

Do you know anyone who is unhappy with their current school? Or someone with an incoming kindergartener? Maybe you have a friend who is looking for something different?

Would you be willing to share some information about our school and ECC program in your office lounge (or other appropriate space) or with a group of friends?

We want to focus on spreading the word about what St. Patrick has to offer and could use your help. If you are willing to share some flyers at work, email the school office and we will send some home with your child.

Did you know that if you refer a family who registers with St. Patrick School or ECC, you can receive a discount on your registration fees? Just have the new family mention your name at the time of registration!
