BCSC Inclement Weather/Snow Day Procedures
After we return from Fall Break, we review our inclement weather procedures to prepare for the unpredictable Indiana winter. CLICK HERE to read this year's letter with details on snow days, two-hour delays, and how these decisions are made.
THANK YOU - Parent Teacher Attendance Numbers
A partnership between educators and parents and guardians is essential for student success. We sincerely appreciate the time and participation from BCSC families in last month's Parent Teacher Conferences. Elementary level conferences (PK-5) saw an average of 97% participation. In the middle schools, 89% of families attended a conference. At BHS, where conferences are encouraged when students are having difficulty in the classroom, 60% of students had a parent or guardian attend.
Making History Over Fall Break
Sound of Brownsburg Marching Band and Guard had a historic Fall Break! At the Saturday night's ISSMA State Finals at Lucas Oil Stadium, they earned a third place finish, their highest placement in school history! Also over break, the Sound of Brownsburg competed in the Bands of America Super Regional at Lucas Oil Stadium, putting them against 65 bands from six different states. The Sound of Brownsburg marched to 4th place, their highest ever finish at this event. Next up: The Bands of America Grand Nationals where they will perform next Thursday (11/9) at Lucas Oil Stadium at 2:45pm, with a chance to advance to the finals later in the week. Congratulations and good luck!

BCSC Food and Clothing Pantry
The BCSC Food and Clothing Pantry operates through a partnership with Gleaners Food Bank. Thanks to the hard work of community and staff volunteers and Applied Skills students in the Collaborators for Success program at BHS, the pantry continues to serve many families in Brownsburg. BCSC families have also contributed donations to help make the pantry a great resource for our community.
The pantry will serve families again on 11/2 from 3pm-5:30pm in a drive thru setting and always on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursdays of the month. Visitors can pull up to door #7 at the ALPHA/Harris Academy building, 725 C South Green Street.
If you have questions about the pantry, please contact Tracy Damone at tdamone@brownsburg.k12.in.us.
