GREETINGS
CAMP ACADEMICS
READING/WRITING
We are identifying the parts of a story: beginning, middle, and end. After they read a book, ask them to identify these parts verbally and in writing.
In reading groups, we will be working on common and proper nouns, predicting outcomes, and problems and solutions.
MATH
The students will be measuring with nonstandard units. We are measuring our arms and legs. You can practice this at home. Choose an object - soup can, spoon, shoe - have them measure the length of the table, their bed, anything. We will also be working with multiples
of ten - 60, 70, 80. Have them identify these numbers on a hundreds chart. Please let me know if you need another 100's chart.
