MESSAGE OF GRATITUDE - THANKSGIVING
Dear WMS Families,
As I take some time to reflect this Thanksgiving season, I must express my gratitude for our entire WMS community. On behalf of my staff and myself, we are extremely grateful that you entrust us with your child each and every day. I am proud to be part of this community and lead such a phenomenal group of people here at WMS. Everyone — from the front office staff, custodians, kitchen staff, and paraprofessionals, to our teachers and administrators — is continuing to show up for our kids each and every day. The relationships, perseverance, dedication, high expectations, and rigorous lessons that our staff consistently offers is deeply valued and appreciated.
We are also grateful for your continued support. I wholeheartedly believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and we are grateful to be part of your village. We need to continue to work together for the betterment of all of our children, for they are our future. Our three main goals here at WMS are Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Community. We, as partners in education, need to continue to collaborate to develop critical thinkers to build a caring and respectful community. Thank you for all that you do to instill and support these characteristics at home — we are grateful!
We hope that you have some time over the upcoming week to give thanks, rest and relax, and enjoy each other. Enjoy your Thanksgiving Break!

Optimist Student of the Month: Ava
We have the honor and privilege to work with Windsor Optimist Club on a regular basis. Each month a Windsor Middle School student is selected as an "Optimist Student of the Month." These students are recognized for exhibiting optimism and being a role model for others! Our Optimist Student of the month for November is Ava.
One of her nominations read: "Ava is an amazing young lady who has earned the 'Optimist Student' honor. She comes to class everyday with a positive attitude and a desire to learn. She is an individual that is willing to ask questions in class to clarify her understanding of the topics being covered, and extend a hand to help other students that may be struggling. Ava exemplifies the meaning of an Optimist Student." Congratulations, Ava!
Our Giving Tree is back!
Please stop by and grab a tag to help fulfill a Christmas wish for our local families. Please bring all gifts back with the tag and turn in to the front office. We also are happy to accept gift cards. Please see the QR code or visit www.serve68.org/about-aaf for more details.
Thank you for making this season magical for a family in need!
