ROCORI SECONDARY SCHOOL NEWSLETTER
JANUARY 7, 2022
WELCOME BACK & HAPPY NEW YEAR
We hope that the holiday break brought about some rest, relaxation, and reflection for all our students and families. We want to wish each of our ROCORI families a Happy New Year! It has been fantastic to welcome our students and staff back to the building and we have had a great first week to kick off 2022.
NO AFTER SCHOOL ALA CARTE BEGINNING NEXT WEEK DUE TO STAFFING ISSUES
While winter can be a season of fun and adventure for children, it can also be very dangerous. Make yourself aware of the temperature outside before sending your children to school and help to assure they are dressed appropriately for the weather. If they are having to walk home or to an appointment they should wear the appropriate clothing (warm jacket, hat, gloves, scarf and boots). Thank you!
SNOW DAYS WEEK WILL BE JANUARY 24TH-28TH - MORE INFO TO COME IN THE NEXT NEWSLETTER
HEALTH OFFICE INFORMATION
If you have had any new vaccinations since last school year, please send that information to Missy Boucher in the Health Office so we can update your student file.
If your student has received the COVID vaccine, and you are willing to share that information, you can send a picture of your vaccination card to Mrs. Boucher. This would assist us in effectively and efficiently contact tracing within our building. Sharing this information with our school health office would be voluntary.
STAR TESTING WILL BEGIN THE WEEK OF JANUARY 10TH
“SPARTAN GROUP” AT ROCORI MIDDLE SCHOOL
This is a great way for your child to be involved and benefit from being a participant in a group experience. We will cover a variety of topics such as friendships, responsibility, school attitude, conflict resolution, stressors and organization. The group(s) will meet weekly for approximately 30 minutes/wk, for 8 weeks. Students will be responsible for work missed during the meetings. Groups will begin meeting at the end of January, early February. If you would like your son/daughter to participate, or have questions please contact us.
