Case Closed.

After a busy morning including a faculty meeting and professional development training on Friday, Providence Hall Elementary staff dawned their ugliest sweaters for the 2021 Staff Holiday Party. This year's theme was "Murder at the Ugly Christmas Sweater Party". While they drank mocktails, built gingerbread houses, ate tacos and mingled, they were also gossiping on and off script to try and find out who the guilty party was when Roxy Rich (played by Mrs. Lindsay Young) turned up dead. See pictures below for all the scandalous details.

Counselor Corner 🧠 ❤️

Hey PHES Parents!

This week in social skills, we will be talking about ways to be a good friend to others. Students will think about what they could do to show kindness to their classmates, as well as strategies for making friends. This ties in well with our kindness lesson from last week!

We hope you have a wonderful winter break!

Thank You Parent Volunteers!

From dressing up to deliver goodies from the 'Treat Trolly" to spending a Saturday decorating a hallway to volunteering in the classroom and beyond, Providence Hall Parents are clearly the best. We are SO grateful for all you.

December Lighthouse Award

Why is this award special? Because staff members nominate each other for ways in which they exemplify particular IB traits. PYP is an important part of who are staff members are, what our teachers teach, as well as how our students learn and grow. We are so grateful for our staff!

Hearing Screening Updates

Big picture

Providence Hall's Speech Department has recently finished conducting the required fall hearing screenings. We have submitted several audiological referrals and have reminded many students to remember to keep their earbuds turned down to avoid permanent hearing damage. A recent poll by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association suggests that nearly half of all adult Americans have a loved one who has difficulty hearing. Please reference the graphic on facilitating effective communication with individuals who have hearing loss. Feel free to contact jcollingridge@providencehall.com if you have additional questions or concerns about your student's hearing or speech-language development.
