Savanna
Savanna Food web
In this food web for the savanna the Acacia tree and the Bermuda grass are the producers. The producers are the plants that make their own food with energy from the sun. The first level consumers in this food web are the gazelle and the zebra.
Mutualism
This is a relationship between 2 organisms where they both benefit from the association. The oxpecker eats the tick off the rhinoceros and the rhinoceros doesn't have to worry about ticks.
Commensalism
A relationship between 2 organisms where one is benefited and the other isn't effected. The birds follow and ride on plant eaters so they can feed off the little bugs on the grass.
Parasitism
A relationship between two things in which the parasite benefits from or lives off of the other. An example in the savanna is a tick on an elephant
How do humans impact the savanna?
Humans are hurting and helping the savanna. They are hurting by clearing it out for industry and roads, but they are helping by making game reserves and big game season to prevent the year round hunting oh big game.
