Grade 10 Chemistry students are visiting Slough Thames water treatment works today.
Please meet in the lobby ready to go after advisory and collect lunch.
Please note students not on Chemistry trip, Design has been moved today to F03 Periods 3 and 4 due to Open House in the Hub.
Celebrating Shakespeare's 400th Anniversary
Storyteller Patrick Ryan Visiting Halcyon

April 2016 marks the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death. Halcyon will celebrate the legacy of Shakespeare during the quatercentenary year by hosting professional storyteller Patrick Ryan who will spend the day telling tales and sharing his love and knowledge of the Bard.
In addition to being a wonderful storyteller, Patrick is the author of ‘Shakespeare's Storybook: Folk Tales that Inspired the Bard’, a beautiful picture book where he has retold the origin tales behind some of Shakespeare's plays.
The schedule for his visit is:
0900-0945 - storytelling in the Stern Hall for Grades 6 - 10, with Halcyon parents and family welcome to join. Please share this form for parents who would like to attend
0945-1030 - Grade 6 hearing Shakespeare's stories
1050-1135 - Grade 8 hearing a Midsummer's Night Dream
1135-1220 - Grade 9 hearing the Taming of the Shrew
1220-1400 - Grade 11 will have lunch with Patrick and take part in a workshop on The Tempest
Please note that Tuesday 19 April is a half-day for students who (except for Grade 11) will be released at 1220.
