Veteran's Day
If you have signed up, veteran guests will arrive at South at 12:45pm and will be escorted to our classroom. We have a few veteran's signed up to come to our classroom that day and the students will be sharing sharing letters/pictures they have created for our guests.
It is my hope that veteran's will take the time to answer student questions as well. Last year, veteran's spread out around the room and students rotated to our guests and were able to ask questions and listen to stories our veterans shared. They really love to just hang out with veterans for a day!
If you are coming in, and would like to bring in anything to represent your service (photographs, awards/medals, etc) I know they kids would love it!
At 1:45, activities will end and veterans (and their students who are going home with them) will exit in style in our "Parade of Heroes".
If you have any questions, please email me.
