Many Hands, One Mason!
March 17, 2019
Dear Mason Families,
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope this message finds you enjoying the sun on this Sunday afternoon. Conference week is upon us and it is a great time to celebrate our learners. We would love to have every family present during their conference time this week if possible. You should have received a conference time from your child(ren)'s teacher last week. If not, please connect with the teacher first thing Monday morning. If you can't make it to conferences, please make it a priority to connect with your child(ren)'s teacher to inform them that you won't be able to make it and to receive an update on your learner(s). Having a positive relationship and common expectations between home and school really does positively impact your child.
Please keep in mind that our conferences are only 15 minutes. While, I know this is a short time frame for a conference, it is a wonderful opportunity to find out what your child is doing well and ways they can improve through the lens of Being a Leader, Being a Learner and Being Kind! Also keep in mind that your child is so much more than a test score; so much more! As a parent, I sometimes have to take a step back and remember that all three of my children learn differently and at their own pace. The pressure we sometimes place on our children can sometimes have a negative impact on their learning. I wish everyone a great conference and please keep in mind that I will be circulating throughout the building the entire time, so please feel free to let me know what Mason can do ensure your child is better prepared not only for tomorrow but for the future!
Thanks for your support,
Roy Bishop, Jr.
Principal

Word of mouth remains the most powerful marketing tool. Help us encourage community members with little ones to explore our neighborhood schools.
It is critical that families establish or verify residency soon if they have a student entering GPPSS next fall, particularly for kindergarten (by May 1) and Young Fives (by April 18).
