Policy EG-3115 - Electronic Technology Acceptable Use & Safety was presented for the second reading and approved as revised.

Bernice Humnick, executive director of business services, provided revenue and expenditure reports for all funds for the quarter ending March 31, 2022. Each quarterly budget update provides an opportunity to review budget variances and make amendments when information becomes available. Darin Johnson, executive director of school management, reviewed proposed transportation contracts with American Student Transportation and Metropolitan Transportation Network for 2022-2024. The Board approved the contracts as presented at the meeting.

Jen Lodin, executive director of student support and engagement, gave an update on the District Operational Plan (DOP) goal of student support and engagement. Lodin shared how Mounds View continues to centralize, align and strengthen student support services.

Mindy Handberg, director of community partnerships, and Michael Werner, coordinator of post-secondary planning, provided an update on the DOP goal regarding college and career services. This work includes opening career and college centers at both high schools, creating an annual calendar of both career and college exploration activities, as well as updates to both the Naviance tools and Career & College websites.

The Board discussed issues and updates related to AMSD and legislative issues.

The Board accepted with appreciation gifts from US Bank Foundation- Employee Match, Google Inc., Coca Cola Give, Mightycause - Give MN, Abbott Fund, 3M Foundation, Kimberly Clark Foundation, 3M Foundation, Wells Fargo Educational Matching Gifts Program, Thompson Reuters and Valentine Hills PTO.
