Special Note from Coach Leslie

The best part of my day is coaching! I truly enjoy getting to see everyone at morning workouts, I wish I didn't have to rush off to be a teacher so I could talk to you longer. I have been hearing that people across America are experiencing a lot of stress due to the pandemic. Please try to make it to a workout at the pool or go out for a quick walk or run. It will make you feel better. And as a double bonus if you come to a Greenville Splash workout you also get to be around awesome people and make new friends.

We are so proud of Greenville Splash for hosting the 6th Annual Upstate Splash Charity Open Water Swim. This event provides water safety awareness and free swim lessons to children at risk in our community. We could not begin to host this event without the support of our many volunteers, swimmers and sponsors!

Thank you to these awesome folks for offering their time and expertise to make a difference in the Upstate Splash:

Boaters: Rick Gantt, David and Julie Smith

Safety Swimmers: Leah Aragon, Brenda Stephens, Steve Croucher

Check-in, set-up, timing, safety checks: Chris Gibbs, Amy Browning, Amy Kothe, Dan Knox, Becki McKee, Kelly Cassandra, Leslie and Steve Scott

Kayakers: Thomas Stephens, Matt Althaus, Susan Jones, James Clinkscales, Brett Baker, Joanna Croucher, Sarah and Brian Snipes, Bailey Kendrick, Allan Byer, JD, Fabio, Sean Vanvelsor, Carolyn Moore

She is continuing to fundraise through October 31st. Let us know if you want to donate. She completed the #tntresilient challenge in honor of her uncle, Nelson, who was first diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma in 2014. We are super proud of you Michelle!

We want to send a big shout out to John Decker for winning the 6 mile open water swim at the Low Country Splash! And kudos to our other Greenville Splashers: Christy Keyes, Hayes Walsh and Michelle Jones for an amazing accomplishment!

Way to go Steve Croucher for finishing the MOTUS Off Road Triathlon Season in first place in the US in the 30-34 age group!

Upstate Splash Charity: Congratulations to all of our swimmers for participating in the 1.2 or 2.4 mile swim at Lake Jocassee. It was very choppy and windy for most of the swim so we are especially proud of all our amazing athletes!
