Bike Riding in PE Class on A Beautiful Day
Taking Advantage of the Nice Weather in PE Class
Greetings,
With all the changes to the normal opening of school, we have sent many communications from Schroeder, Superintendent Gumina, IC, Remind, Twitter, Instagram, and PikMyKid. It's not simple, but we use our media outlets to get the word out to be clear. We know you are also working and trying to manage all of these changes. Your cooperation, support, questions, and patience is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for taking time this weekend to read through our information.
Stay on mask...stay in school,

A Message From Our Nurse's Office
Parent Notification of Symptoms Associated with COVID-19
Dear Parents and Guardians:
With guidance from the Monroe County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) and our district physician, we are unable to allow anyone experiencing new or unusual symptoms that are associated with COVID-19 to attend school. If your child is absent and presents with symptoms that are associated with Covid-19 OR your child feels ill in school and is sent home with symptoms associated with Covid-19, your child may NOT return to school until cleared by the school nurse.
Contact your child’s primary healthcare provider, share your child’s symptoms, and schedule an appointment for an evaluation and COVID-19 testing. In order to return to school, students must meet ALL of the following requirements:
Remain fever-free (<100℉) for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication and exhibit significant improvement of symptoms
Provide a written medical evaluation clearance from a healthcare provider and negative Covid test results, if the Physician orders the test.
If your child’s testing result is positive, your child will be placed under mandatory isolation orders by the MCDPH. Please notify your building principal immediately if your child tests positive. Other members of the household will most likely be placed on a mandatory 14 day quarantine period by the MCDPH. Students are not permitted to return to school until released from isolation or quarantine by the MCDPH.
While sick, your child should stay home, get plenty of rest and stay hydrated. Your child should try to avoid being around other people to stop the spread of this infection in case they do have COVID-19. Continue to monitor your child’s symptoms and stay in communication with your child’s healthcare provider as directed.
Most people have mild illness and are able to recover at home. If, however, any of the following rare severe symptoms develop, call 911 for immediate assistance:
Trouble breathing
Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
New confusion
Inability to wake or stay awake
Bluish lips or face
For more information about COVID-19, follow the CDC guidelines for “If You are Sick or Caring for Someone” at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/index.html.
Your Primary Care Provider should always be your first point of contact regarding a medical evaluation and COVID-19 testing. If your provider’s office cannot accommodate your needs, several local Urgent Care centers provide evaluation and testing. Go to the NYS DOH webpage “Find A Test Site Near You” at https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/find-test-site-near-you.
Thank you for your commitment to keeping our in person school environment, and our community at large healthy. Be Well!
Regards,
Jillian Sweeney, RN, BSN

The 11th Annual PUSH YOURSELF 5K will be virtual !!!
We adjust, that's what we do. For 10 years we have been helping national and local charities. Covid hit many hard this year, our charities included. So despite Covid, we still want to Do The Right Thing (DTRT) and help our charities (Golisano Children's Hospital / Crime Stoppers of Rochester / Lymphoma & Leukemia Research / Webster Community Chest / Open Door Mission / PUSH YOURSELF Scholarship) any way we can. So the 11th PUSH YOURSELF Walk/Run Challenge will be a bit different this year.

ONE WEBSTER BACK TO SCHOOL!
Many thanks to all One Webster students, staff, parents and guardians as we head back to school! Parents and guardians, we are especially grateful for your continued support and reinforcement with your children regarding the importance of mask-wearing, hand-washing, and staying physically distant from others. These practices help keep our child(ren) -- and each other -- safe and healthy both inside school and throughout our community. Thank you!
