Jesse Boyd Elementary~~~ March 25, 2017
Greetings from Dr. Rose
Greetings from Jesse Boyd where we are battling like a bulldog and going for gold this school year while inspiring and equipping our students for success. It is very hard to believe that we have just one week until Spring Holidays. This year seems to be rushing by us so very fast. We want to thank all of our parents and grandparents for their support in our Scholastic Book Fair last week. We had a wonderful turnout for Goodies for Grandparents and we had a great response each day at the book fair. Additionally we wish to thank all of our parents for coming to the student led conferences last week. We love watching our students demonstrate their learning to their parents.
We hope you all have a wonderful, safe spring holidays.
PROJECT TEDD
Landon Cohen, former Spartanburg High School football great and NFL player, hosts a football camp at SHS each year for students in 1st-5th grade. Project TEDD focuses on Training, Eating healthy, Discipline, and Determination-great skills for everyone to learn. The camp this year will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017. JBE only has 20 slots, for both boys and girls, Please email mrose@spart7.org if you are interested in attending. An application will be sent to you to return back to JBE no later than April 14th.
Kindergarten Registration
It is that time of year when we start to register our newest JBE students. If you have a student who will be attending JBE next school year in kindergarten, please start the registration process now. As a reminder students will need to be 5 by September 1st to attend 5K next year. Teresa Teague is our powerschool clerk and she can help you through that process of registration.
Additionally our rising 5K has a playgroup that will be meeting beginning in April for students and parents to get to know one another.
Please consider helping one of our own....
