PRE-K 3 NEWS!
JUAN DIEGO ACADEMY MAY 2, 2016
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Dear Parents,
May is upon us! April went so fast! We are almost done with our school year.
We still have a lot of work to do. We are finishing up the details for our Mother’s day event that is going to be this Friday May 6th. If you are a working mom, please ask for an hour to attend this beautiful and short event prepared by your child. Your children will be going to be very happy to spend 40 minutes celebrating mother’s day with you from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
In May we are also celebrating the Virgin Mary. We will crown our Blessed Mother at this Thursday’s Mass. Every child in our school is being asked to please bring any kind of living flower to place in their class flower basket being offered to Mary. You may send the flowers before Thursday. We will keep them in water.
This Saturday we will celebrate the First Communion of some of our students at Holy Rosary Church at the 5:00 p.m. Mass. We hope that you can attend and be supportive of our wonderful students. We hope to see you there.
We want to also remind you to send the monthly survey if you have not sent it yet. We want to have all our students files completed.
On Wednesday, we will send the form to fill for our Zoo Field Trip, remember that the fee is $ 9.00 for adult and for child as well. If you have not let Mrs. Farias know if you are a member of the Zoo society at Pt. Defiance and will not be needing a ticket, please do so now. If you know you are going to drive your child only, please let her know. If you can drive your child and take other children in your car, please also let Mrs. Farias know. afarias@hrrsjda.org If your child is not going at all on May 26th, let her know. She needs to let the zoo know by May 12th, how many tickets to purchase and they are non-refundable.
Time of the field trip on May 26th is 9:20-1:30. More information to come.
We are preparing the last event of this school year. It is the “Adios Amigos” farewell program on the Thursday before school ends. More information to come.
We want to say “Thank you” to all our volunteers for our Fiesta del “Dia del Nino” (Children’s day party) and to the parents who donated snacks, candies, popsicles, etc. Our children had a really good time. We saw how much they enjoyed it. We are very happy for them. God bless all the children in the world. They are the future of this world. We love them.
WHAT WE ARE LEARNING THIS WEEK.
We are almost done learning the alphabet. We are learning about the letter W (this is the last letter to know), and our students are doing great.
We are still working on how to write our name correctly. If you can support them at home, that would be great.
We are also affirming the numbers from 1 to 10 (counting, symbol and quantity), they know now how to count from 1 to 20.
We will learn about the 5 de Mayo Mexican celebration that celebrates when Mexico won the war against France.
We are learning about Mother’s Day celebrations. We are preparing for all our student’s dear Mother’s Day event that is going to be small but very significant as they are working on it with great love from their hearts. Please keep it in mind too.
We hope you have a wonderful week.
