A Mock Trial of the “True Story of the Three Little Pigs”
They provided evidence to prove whether or not the wolf should be charged for the death of the first 2 pigs, or if it was just a misunderstanding. Using evidence from the original story of “The Three Little Pigs” and the parody that we read in class. The students did a great job getting into character and using evidence from both stories to prove their case. My homeroom class was the juror and recorded the crucial evidence that was mentioned to help them in their decision.
Bringing Science to a Close by Creating a Robot
Students completed one of their last “Immunity Challenges” with creating a robot, which included as many simple machines as they could. In order to complete the challenge, all tribe members had to be aware of the 6 types of simple machines and where they were located. “My Favorite Group” which was the name of the Yellow Tribe not only won this challenge, but won this round of “Survivor Science” with an accumulation of 63 points on their tribes totem pole.
