Remember that students have a Tenmarks assignment each week on line. These count as homework grades and provide extra credit for successful completion.
Dance - Mrs. Brewington
7th Dance Rotation- Course Requirements, Binders, and Joining Google classroom were all due January 15th. We will begin or study of ballet. Basic steps test on January 22nd. Please encourage your child to bring Chromebook fully charged to class and check google classroom daily. We have assignments daily on the Chromebooks.
7th dance focus: We began our second dance for the March performance, "Higher Ground" by Stevie Wonder. Attendance is so very important as we will use every day to learn new choreography or polish existing choreography. Costume letters were sent out January 12th money is due January 29th. Please encourage your child to bring Chromebook fully charged to class and check google classroom daily. We have assignments daily on the Chromebooks.
ELA - Mrs. Templeton
The students will be finishing up with the parts of speech this week. A test is scheduled for Wednesday. I will also check their notebooks with their information about the 8 parts of speech. They are creating a mind map of the 8 parts of speech that is also due on Wednesday.
Stems test and homework is due Thursday.
Weekly article will be discussed in class on Wednesday.
We will begin our unit on Hiroshima next.

7th Grade Drama Rotation began a Theatre History Unit, beginning with the Greeks. Students will be creating masks in the coming weeks as we continue to study theatre throughout the ages. Don't forget that NY money is due January 20, and the fundraiser is January 27-29!
7th Grade Drama Focus is working on competition pieces for our upcoming festival at the South Carolina Speech and Theatre Association on February 6. Students that will be competing will have field trip information soon. Students that are not competing are still working towards acting through different events: monologues, group acting, and even musical theatre. Don't forget that NY money is due January 20, and the fundraiser is January 27-29!
