Reelection
It has been said Elizabeth Warren might run for president in 2016
- If Elizabeth wants to become President of the United States I believe she will need a more firm, logical stance. Her saying that minimum wage should be increased to $22 per hour, does not make any sense to have an $14.75 pay raise, gradually bringing it up might help. Her views on the Keystone Pipeline are similar to many other Senators, so that will not be a huge issue.
Keystone Pipeline
TransCanada Corporation wants to build the Keystone XL Pipeline to carry oil from Alberta Canada's tar sands to two refineries owned by Koch Industries near the Texas Gulf Coast, for export to Europe.
She now also openly opposes the actions of the owners of the most-harmfully polluting corporations, such as Koch Industries
Raising Minimum wage to $10.10
- Working 40 hours a week on minimum wage now is considered below the poverty line.
- With minimum wage the price it is, the turn over rates at many jobs is very high because people don't get paid enough to do the jobs that they're doing. If minimum wage is increased turnover rates should theoretically go down and so should training costs of individual employees.
- Some say raising minimum wage could hurt teenagers in the job market because employers would require more skill.
